The Doha Municipality, represented by General Control Section of Municipal Control Department, removed 99 abandoned vehicles from different areas during the last two weeks.

According to Ministry of Municipality and Environment press release, the inspection campaign was carried out in Industrial Zone, Madinat Khalifa South and Madinat Khalifa North. The MME inspectors put warning stickers on the vehicles found abandoned first and then removed them according to the legal procedures under the Public Hygiene Law. In the first week of the campaign, 68 abandoned vehicles were removed from the Industrial Area whereas the remaining 31 were removed from Madinat Khalifa South and Madinat Khalifa North in the second week.

As part of efforts to promote agricultural environmental awareness in cooperation with educational and governmental institutions, Step One kindergarten visited the airport nursery of the MME Public Parks Department. Altogether 50 students visited the nursery on the first day and 60 on the second day. The students planted some seeds and were offered tips on growing plants by the representatives of the Public Parks Department. Later, seasonal flowers were distributed among the kindergarten students.
