Nasser Bin Khaled Automobiles, exclusive dealers of the iconic Mercedes-Benz in Qatar, will celebrate the global Mercedes-Benz 125 years of automotive excellence with the Mercedes-Benz Service Week starting March 26 and stretching till March 31, 2011.

The Mercedes-Benz Service Week will give all Mercedes-Benz owners in Qatar the opportunity to experience it all by driving into one of Nasser Bin Khaled Automobiles' service workshops and take advantage of an array of unique value-added benefits such as a complimentary visual checks and giveaways, expert insights by Mercedes-Benz trained technicians, special prices on genuine spare parts and servicing, test-drives of the latest Mercedes-Benz mind-blowing models and trade-in offers for Mercedes-Benz pre-owned vehicles. In addition, Mercedes-Benz owners will avail of a 33 per cent discount on parts and labour covering any necessary repairs found during their vehicles' health check.

Earlier this year, Mercedes-Benz announced an historic milestone of 125 years in its automotive track record. On January 29, 1886, Carl Benz filed an application in Berlin for a patent on his three-wheeled "horseless carriage". Critics claimed the contraption had no future. 125 years and over 80,000 patent applications later, the critics couldn't have been more wrong. A gala occasion was organized in Stuttgart, Germany with the presence of German Chancellor, Angela Merkel, as the guest of honor.  During the event, Dr. Dieter Zetsche, Chairman of the Board of Daimler AG and Head of Mercedes-Benz Cars said: "The invention of Daimler and Benz changed the world for the better – and it will continue to do so. As the inventor, we also have the claim to shape the future of mobility: with fascinating brand, green technologies and new business opportunities."
