Mannai Automotive Group, exclusive Subaru dealer and distributor in Qatar, today announced the arrival of the 2011 Impreza XV Crossover at its showrooms in Doha (Salwa Road) and Al Wakra.
Cashing in on Qatar’s booming SUV market, the all-new Impreza XV has been developed in Japan from the iconic Impreza 5-door with the addition of 100% new crossover styling.
The Impreza XV is available with a 2.0R engine producing 155 horsepower at 6000 RPM. Top speed is rated at 240 km/h with a 0 to 100 km/h acceleration of 8.8 seconds and the Impreza XV comes with the company's Symmetrical AWD (All-Wheel Drive) system, 5-speed automatic gearbox and SPORTSHIFT transmission.
Exclusively designed front grille and wheel arch, specially equipped roof rails and a roof spoiler accentuate the uniqueness of this special Impreza version. Meanwhile the 2.0-litre Horizontally-opposed petrol engine complies with European EURO 5 regulations for enhanced environmental friendliness.
Subaru's stable already includes iconic cars such as the Forester and the Outback but the Japanese car maker has identified a gap in its model lineup. Inspired by significant growth in the crossover segment, the iconic Subaru Impreza is the perfect launch car to make the leap to compete in the rapidly growing SUV segment.
Exterior changes give the XV a unique look. The new car boasts redesigned, and more aggressive-looking, front and rear bumpers, chunky over-sized wheel arches, side skirts and 16-inch alloy wheels.
Under the skin, Subaru has done an impressive engineering job. Raising the Impreza by 30mm - to give it the required 185mm SUV ground clearance - hasn't affected its ride and handling package.
Inside the addition of the comfy RS Impreza sports seats gives the XV distinctive Mocha accents and brown stitching to distinguish it from the crowd. Lovers of loud music will appreciate the Bluetooth connectivity and the iPod-compatible USB connection that's linked to the 10-speaker AM/FM/MP3/CD stereo system.
“The XV is loaded with the standard safety features you'd expect from the Subaru range including a five-star ANCAP rating. The Impreza XV offers a blend of every day on road performance with the ground clearance to experience Qatar's scenic off road tracks. Its impressive equipment list combined with Subaru's symmetrical all-wheel drive will more than give the competition a run for their money,” says Mohammed Helmy, GM Mannai Automotive Group.
