Ooredoo participated in the Gulf University of Science and Technology (GUST) 16th Career Fair as platinum sponsor on Wednesday and Thursday, said Qatar Tribune. Ooredoo was the only telecom company to participate in the career fair. The fair opened its doors from 9am to 3pm and received visitors from different majors from GUST and other universities. 

Chief of Human Resources and Administration Services Saleh al Houti said,"It is of great importance that we participate in such an event because we strongly believe in the role that the youth play in creating a better future. "We especially believe in talented Kuwaiti youth who can be partners in our success as a telecom service provider operating in Kuwait." The job fair was attended by a delegation from the Manpower and Government Restructuring Program headed by General Secretary Dr Fouzi al Majdali as well as GUST management representatives.

Ooredoo Human Resources representatives led by Human Resources Director Omar al Bassam explained to students the benefits of working for Ooredoo and the different career growth opportunities provided by the company. In a press statement, Ooredoo said that this is not the first time that it has taken part in a job fair; it has successfully participated in several job fairs in the past. The company's aim is to open new horizons for the ambitious youth by giving them an opportunity to apply their educational knowledge to the professional world. 

Ooredoo employees are always given opportunities to develop their skills and enhance their knowledge through extensive training programmes along with new challenges to develop their interests.
