Ooredoo has today announced that over 1 million free call minutes were made to Gaza and Palestine during the company’s free call promotion from July 21 to July 31.

As part of Ooredoo’s efforts during the final week of Ramadan and in response to the ongoing conflict in Gaza, Ooredoo offered free calls to Palestine from any Ooredoo mobile, to enable people to contact friends and family in the conflict zone. The free call service applied to all international calls to Palestine from Qatar and encouraged loved ones to stay in touch during the Holy Month.

During the period 1,027,568 free minutes were made from Ooredoo phones to Palestine and Gaza. In addition to the free call offer, Ooredoo donated QR 1,000,000 to Qatar Charity’s humanitarian efforts for Gaza. Ooredoo has pledged to continue to support its customers from around the world throughout the year, with a host of CSR initiatives as part of its mission to enrich people’s lives.

Customers can see more international offers via the Ooredoo website at www.ooredoo.qa and Ooredoo’s Facebook page.
