Ooredoo is set to launch the eagerly-awaited Samsung Galaxy S5 this weekend, enabling customers to enjoy the full 4G experience with Ooredoo.

The Smartphone is equipped with an incredible Download Booster Feature, which enables customers to use 4G LTE and Wi-Fi networks simultaneously, offering an incredible network experience, with the fastest speeds and the smoothest possible upload and download capacity. With Ooredoo offering Qatar’s first and only 4G network, it can provide customers with an unrivalled experience, in addition to delivering a huge range of data options to enable customers to get the most from their Smartphone.

“We’re really excited to launch the Samsung Galaxy S5 in Qatar, because it’s another great opportunity for Ooredoo customers to experience the full power and potential of 4G in Qatar. We’re working with the world’s leading Smartphone developers to bring the latest models to Qatar as quickly as possible, and delivering the network enhancements to ensure our customers can use their devices to their optimum capacity,” said Fatima Sultan Al Kuwari.

The Samsung Galaxy S5 is available at selected Ooredoo Shops from 11 April at the price of QR 2699 for the 16GB, and QR 2899 for the 32GB. With strong demand expected, and a limited number of the 32GB device available in Ooredoo Shops, customers are advised to purchase their Samsung Galaxy S5 32GB via the Ooredoo e-shop, with free delivery provided. Customers can choose from a variety of exciting colours for the phone, which comes with a 16 Megapixel camera with the fastest autofocus of any smartphone, along with a 2 megapixel front-facing camera.

It is also the first smartphone to have an integrated heart rate monitor, letting customers keep track of health and fitness levels wherever they are, and a fingerprint scanner, removing the need for passwords and allowing customers to use their fingerprint to access the internet and use the phone. Ooredoo is anticipating high interest from customers in Qatar, particularly from those who enjoy outdoor and desert pursuits. The Samsung Galaxy S5 comes with an ultra-power saving mode, so that customers can feel confident they won’t run out of juice, and also has an IP67 waterproof rating, making it resistant to sweat, sand, dust and immersion in water up to 1 metre.

To take advantage of 4G capability, Samsung Galaxy S5 should register for access to the Ooredoo 4G network. Shahry customers should SMS “4G” to 114, while Hala customers can SMS “4G” to 121. For full details of the Samsung Galaxy S5, customers can dial 111, visit an Ooredoo Shop or log on to www.ooredoo.qa.
