Ooredoo has been named the main sponsor of the 117th Philippine Independence Day celebrations, which will be held this Friday 12 June at the Sheraton Hotel Doha. The all-day event will feature a singing competition, art contest, magic show, fun-zone for kids, trade fair, food festival, a mini car show and much more.

As part of Ooredoo's sponsorship, the company will provide a special Ooredoo booth to provide information on the cheapest way to call the Philippines from Qatar, Ooredoo Mobile Money services, Hala Smart bundles, Hala Mobile Internet Packs and Top-ups. The Ooredoo booth will also host several prize giveaways, including free data cards and Ooredoo merchandise. Fatima Sultan Al Kuwari, Director Community & Public Relations, Ooredoo, said: “Ooredoo has been a proud sponsor of the Philippine Independence Day for a number of years and we’re happy to see this celebration continue to grow and get bigger each year. Mabuhay, Philippines!” Frank Jamandre, Overall Chairman of United Filipino Organisations in Qatar, said: “The UFOQ expresses our grateful thanks to Ooredoo for continuously sponsoring our Independence Day celebration every year.” Tickets for the 117th Philippine Independence Day Celebrations will be on sale at the Sheraton Doha for just QR 15 on the day.
