United Development Company (UDC), one of Qatar’s leading shareholding companies, and its subsidiaries recently took part in Hamad Hospital’s Blood Bank initiative at The Pearl-Qatar. Dozens of employees from UDC’s various departments and subsidiaries lined up outside Hamad Hospital’s mobile blood bank at The Pearl-Qatar, to actively express their support for the initiative by donating blood.

The annual blood donation campaign aims to help patients in need by meeting the high demand for blood at all government and private hospitals in the country, and thus seeks to promote health and well-being in Qatar. The blood donation campaign is an integral part of UDC’s Corporate Social Responsibility strategy. This initiative is affirming UDC’s commitment to raise awareness and promote charitable activities that serve and enhance community welfare throughout Qatar. UDC employees are also an important part of the company’s community activities and recently participated in an environmental clean-up initiative.

"We are delighted to support Hamad Medical Corporation for such a humanitarian cause. UDC has always been committed to giving back to the community and the blood donation campaign is therefore an integral component of our corporate social responsibilities and we take it very seriously” a spokesperson from UDC commented.

UDC is committed in helping in the development and well-being of the Qatari community and therefore always seeks in supporting community initiatives that lead to the enhancement of society.
