With over 50 years’ of leading industry experience in Europe, POLMIL Fencing has established its presence in the State of Qatar in the last twelve months with longer term plans to expand its presence in the Middle East region. POLMIL offers a new fencing solution that proved very successful during the 2012 London Summer Olympics as it uses existing fences. During Milipol Qatar 2014, POLMIL showcased the features that set its fences apart, including a high level of strength that is built into every aspect of the system. The fences are on ground passing a PAS 68 rating (UK Government Test), the system has been mob tested by the UK police and crashed tested by the UK Ministry of Defence. The system offers an on-ground system as well as having an in ground option. One of its first major deals was the appointment of PRISMA International, a multi-discipline Qatar-based firm specialising in turn-key interior design projects. This deal marked a turning point for both POLMIL Fencing and PRISMA International, as there is potential to move forward focusing on research and development as well as supporting the development of the local community through training and employment.

Further, Qatar Petroleum, a state-owned corporation that was established in 1974 and is responsible for all phases of the oil and gas industry in Qatar, is also using POLMIL Fencing as part of initial testing phase. POLMIL Fencing is also working closely with the Qatar Naval Port. POMIL Fencing states that Ooredoo, Qatar Rail and Qatar 2022 have all expressed interest in their fencing options. In the lead up to the World Cup 2022, POLMIL Fencing is well positioned to be the principal high security fencing distributor having supplied its fences to a number of international sporting events including the Glasgow 2014 Commonwealth Games, Heathrow Airport, the NATO Summit For G4, as well as for the Defence Security and Equipment International (DSEI) for the last two years.
