LightingTech Qatar and HVACTech Qatar are two brand new specialized conferences launched concurrently with Project Qatar 2014, the 11th International Construction Technology and Building Materials Exhibition. Qatar is at the heart of the growing construction industry in the GCC and internationally with US$350 billion of projects currently in the planning or construction phase.

To support this growth, Project Qatar 2014 has expanded its prestigious conference series. IFP Qatar has partnered with Advanced Conferences & Meetings to create a unique business platform for companies to network amongst leading consultants and meet local and international industry experts. LightingTech Qatar will take place on May 12-13, 2014 followed by HVACTech on May 14-15, 2014 at the Qatar National Convention Centre in Doha.

LightingTech Qatar 2014 is designed to address the lighting industry needs specific to the Qatari market, in view of the current and upcoming construction projects and sustainability goals within Qatar. Hosting LightingTech Qatar at Project Qatar 2014 allows delegates and sponsors to experience the very best of both worlds; in terms of focused, specialized content and networking designed exclusively for the lighting sector, alongside the comprehensive infrastructure value chain showcase that only a major industry exhibition can provide.

LightingTech Qatar 2014 targets an audience of architects, designers, specifiers, construction professionals, project owners, as well as government officials and regulators in Qatar. These delegates will be attending LightingTech Qatar 2014 to hear from industry experts about the most innovative projects and solutions from across the region and the international market and to discover the latest technology advancements, government regulations, industry standards and product certifications that help address the specific needs of the lighting industry in Qatar. Moreover, lighting for roads, highways, expressways, stadiums and airports will be tackled in the form of high-profile case studies tailored to the exact needs of the Qatari market.

Organizations who have confirmed their participation include: Parsons Brinckerhoff, Sutton Vane Associates, Alabbar Energy and Sustainability Group, Arab Engineering Bureau, Philips Lighting, Osram, Mouchel Middle East & Africa, Amey, KEO International Consultants, Light Concept, Designs for Lighting, EPOS design, Theuer Eurolighting Consultancy Lighting Design, Klaasen Lighting Design and Qatar Project Management.

As commercial, residential and industrial infrastructure developments in Qatar increase in line with the ambitious nationwide requirements of delivering the Qatar National Vision 2030 and the FIFA 2022 World Cup, requirements for energy and cost efficient cooling and ventilation systems are rapidly increasing and the positive impact of this is already being felt by the HVAC industry.

Tom Gore, ACM Managing Director, said: “The Project Qatar conference series is the result of both the exclusive position of Project Qatar in the annual Qatari construction calendar and rapidly growing demand for specialist, interactive insights into the challenges and opportunities facing companies within Project Qatar's product and services profiles.  IFP Qatar has partnered with ACM in order to create a unique series of conferences that would give access to expert decision makers alongside the means to network effectively amongst new business prospects.”

HVACTech Qatar 2014 will bring together private and government project owners, planning bodies, contractors and consultants, utility operators and companies (water, power and district cooling), regulators and solution providers in a specialized forum to address the latest opportunities and challenges in the HVAC and cooling industries.

HVACTech Qatar 2014 represents a specialized forum for the local Qatari, Gulf and regional markets to address the latest opportunities and challenges in the HVAC and cooling industries. The conference will highlight the latest case studies and technological solutions available, within the framework of local and regional market conditions and the developing regulatory environment, whilst offering a highly targeted networking platform enabling the establishment of lucrative business partnerships.

HVACTech will also showcase solutions available to meet the demands faced by the HVAC and cooling industries in the hot, arid, dusty climatic conditions of the Gulf countries, whilst also addressing the ways in which technology can enable power generation requirements to be reduced and greater energy efficiency to be achieved.

Organizations speaking at HVACTech Qatar include: Doha Metro Project – Red Line North Underground, ISG JV, Qatar Project Management, Qatar Foundation, KEO International Consultants, Marafeq Qatar, Tatweer UAQ Real Estate Development, Arab Engineering Bureau, Hill International, NG Global FZ LLC, Atkins Qatar, Ras Al Khaimah Free Trade Zone, Tanween, Trans Gulf Electromechanical, Condair Ltd and SAFID.

“LightingTech Qatar and HVACTech Qatar are exciting new platforms for two of the most critical areas of infrastructure opportunities and challenges in Qatar at present,” said Tom Gore, ACM Managing Director. “These timely, specialist conferences bring together leading players in their respective fields to discuss the very latest case studies and technologies. With expert agendas, exclusive networking as well as access to Qatar’s leading construction exhibition, our delegates and sponsors can expect a unique and rewarding event experience.”

Project Qatar is also hosting two concurrent events conferences “Qatar Stone-Tech” and “HeavyMax”. Qatar Stone-Tech 2014 is the 3rd International Stone and Stone Technology show. The size and scope of hundreds of tertiary developments that will pop up to support the infrastructure boom, whether hotels, hospitals, schools, convention centers or otherwise, is a very enticing reason for the world’s best stone industry professionals to exhibit in Qatar.

HeavyMax 2014, the 11th International Exhibition for Heavy Machinery, is the leading international exhibition for construction equipment, plant, machinery and vehicles. It is a natural complementary event bringing the latest in technological advances and innovative solutions to the construction sites. Exhibitors at HeavyMax praise the quality and expertise of visitors, true representatives of the sector, the number of local companies and the presence of major key players at the show.

IFP Qatar will also be hosting “Future Interiors Qatar” taking place in Doha from 8-9 September 2014. It provides the ideal meeting place for project owners, project managers, design professionals, contractors and consultants to stay up to date on industry trends and lucrative business opportunities. Future Interiors Qatar will enable discussions on the advancements in interior design technologies and sustainable design approaches. It will also discuss balancing design, sustainability and innovation throughout the planning, development and fit-out phases to deliver excellence in interior design and construction.
