Qatar Airways’ frequent flyer programme, Privilege Club, was named the 2018 winner of the ‘Best Rewards Programme’ for the Middle East, Asia and Oceania region at the seventh annual FlyerTalk Awards.

FlyerTalk is a community of more than half a million businesses and leisure travellers dedicated to finding and sharing information regarding elite air and hotel packages and car rental programmes. More than 100 rewards programmes worldwide competed for this year’s Best Programme award, and were evaluated on the basis of value, ease of redemption and customer service.

Qatar Airways Group Chief Executive, His Excellency Mr. Akbar Al Baker, said: “Qatar Airways Privilege Club is tremendously excited to have received this award, particularly as it was voted for by our discerning members and those from the FlyerTalk community. We take tremendous pride in offering our Privilege Club members a wide variety of enhanced membership benefits, and are committed to continuing to innovate our offering, making travelling with Qatar Airways even more rewarding. We invite our members and those of other programmes to watch for more exciting upcoming developments from Qatar Airways Privilege Club."

Qatar Airways Privilege Club recently unveiled a fully refreshed brand identity with redesigned membership packs, new online content and programme enhancements that will make members’ journeys even more memorable and seamless. Additional improvements as part of Qatar Airways’ Privilege Club rebrand include members’ ability to perform all their account activities online, including purchasing award tickets using Qmiles, nominating family members to join their membership account, updating personal profiles and requesting services including cabin upgrades, excess baggage, date changes, refunds and much more.

As part of the ongoing programme enhancements, Qatar Airways Privilege Club is set to launch the Oryx Kids Loyalty Programme later this year, a new and exclusive frequent flyer programme designed just for young passengers. Young travellers will be able to register for the Oryx Kids Loyalty Programme and earn Qmiles, which they can redeem for attractive awards and exclusive benefits. They will also earn Qpoints, which will allow them to upgrade to a higher tier. Qatar Airways enjoyed a record-breaking year in 2017, claiming more than 50 individual awards across multiple categories, demonstrating its continued commitment to exceeding passenger expectations with its innovative approach to product development and dedication to customer experience.
