Qatar Financial Markets Authority (QFMA) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with China Security Regulatory Commission (CSRC) to regulate and manage securities. The Chief Executive Officer of QFMA Nasser Ahmed Al Shaibi and Chairman of CSRC Shang Fulin signed the Memorandum in the presence of Charged Affairs and Counselor of Qatar Embassy to China Ahmed Al Dehaimi.

Nasser Ahmed Al Shaibi said: "Through this agreement we believe that a strong foundation for cooperation will be laid that will not only provide a structure of support, but also foster mutual understanding and encourage the exchange of regulatory and technical information between our two Organizations." For his part, Shang Fulin was quoted as saying at the MOU signing ceremony that: "CSRC attaches great importance to supervisory cooperation with foreign regulators. The MOU signed between the two regulators will enhance exchanges of views and cooperation in the field of securities and futures supervision and promote sound development of capital markets in both countries."
