Qatar cancer society ‘QCS" has organized Train the Trainer workshop for Ministry of public health employees. twenty (20) staff Health promotion and non-communicable disease department participated in the workshop as part of the Capacity Building Program for Health Education and Communication Workers – at Ooredoo Cancer Awareness, the workshop included thirty-two Training hours Accredited by the Canadian Global Centre. 

Dr. Hadi Mohamad Abu Rasheed, Head of Professional Development and Scientific Research Department at QCS, said “Train the Trainer provided the participants with the necessary generic theoretical knowledge and practical experience that enable them to become effective trainers with positive attitudes to enhance life-long learning amongst trainees. Noting that the number of beneficiaries of the capacity building program for health education and communication workers during 2018 was one hundred beneficiaries.

He stressed on the importance of permanent cooperation with all health institutions in the State, pointing to the importance of community partnerships in fighting cancer and QCS can’t operate in isolation.  He added “ QCS is proud to be  one of the forces concerned with human health, especially its vision  To be the community partnership platform to make Qatar a leader in cancer prevention and its burden control , and it’s  Mission  to seek to prevent cancer and control its burden in Qatar by working with its  partners to educate the community, and to support, empower and advocate for individuals living with cancer, and to engage in the professional development and scientific research in the field of cancer
