As part of its development projects it carries out in Albania, Qatar Charity has handed over 85 poor families' income-generating projects worth QR 650 thousands.

Albania's First Lady Teuta Topi sponsored the projects handing over ceremony. She thanked the government and the people of Qatar, lauding Qatar Charity of its distinguished contribution to charitable activities in Albania.


During the ceremony, which was attended by government official and civil society personalities, Qatar Charity's representative in Albania Karam Zainhum handed over the projects to orphans and needy families to enable them rely on themselves in their livelihood.


The projects are part of the strategic projects sponsored by Qatar Charity in various parts of Albania. In 2009 it carried out 130 income-generating projects.
