As part of its continued efforts to support the Syrian people, Qatar Charity (QC) has provided food supplies for more than 16,000 people in Ghouta in Damascus battling for survival.

“The initiative aimed at providing basic food to the people suffering due to shortages of food, and psychological and financial burdens. “We will try to help alleviate their suffering and save their dignity,” said Mohammed Rashid Al Ka’bi, Director, Relief Management, QC. A food basket was sufficient for a family of five for around a month. The quantity of food supplies was up to the standards of World Food Programme“Each basket contained rice, sugar, beans, tomatoes, olive oil, edible oil, macaroni, vermicelli, homos and jam,” Al Ka’bi added. QC’s urgent relief response campaigns have been continuing since the beginning of the five-year conflict.
