Qatar Charity (QC) and the Qatari Leaderships Forum (QLF) have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) for cooperation in the field of capacity-building of national cadres, government institutions and non-governmental organizations (NGOs), as part of their contribution to the achievement of the Qatar National Vision 2030.

The MoU was signed for Qatar Charity by its Director of internal programs Mohammed bin Ali Al-Ghamdi, and for the Qatari leaderships Forum by Head of the Administrative Committee of the Forum Mohammad Al Hassan Al Nuaimi. The MoU established the areas of cooperation between the two sides in the leadership capacity-building, and develop the institutional capacity of various government agencies and non-governmental organizations so as to enhance their efficiency, in accordance with the goals and aspirations of the Qatar National Vision 2030, as well as promotion of Qatari experience in enriching the cooperation between the GCC states in particular and the Arab and International Cooperation in general.

It also encourages national initiatives of the civil society organizations aimed at serving the goals of that vision. The head of internal programs of the Qatar Charity said that this initiative is interactive with the launch of the national strategy late last month to revive the role of civil society organizations in cooperation with various actors within the state. For his part, Head of Administrative Committee of the Forum said the building capacity of national institutions is one of the key priorities that all the organs and sectors of the State seek to achieve, especially the upgrading of human resource capacity.

The Qatari Leaderships Forum is a national initiative launched in June 2008 with the participation of representatives of all development sectors, aims to build a strong generation to achieve the Qatar National Vision 2030. It is worth mentioning that Qatar Charity attaches great importance to charitable service and community development within the State through various projects, particularly with regard to capacity-building and the development of positive behaviors, cognitive abilities and leadership skills for the youth.

The signing of this agreement coincides with the participation of Qatar Charity in the Qatar Career Fair 2011, with a view to offering jobs and career available at the Qatar Charity and other program for those interested in the voluntary work through holding workshops and preparatory courses for the youth of males and females throughout the days of the Fair by experts, as well as providing opportunities for training graduates in the context of its internal programs.
