Qatar national football team climbed two places in the latest FIFA monthly ranking issued yesterday to take 85th and 9th at the Asian level, while the global top ten remained unchanged.

Argentina lead the way with 1,634 points followed by South American rival Brazil (1,544) and world champions Germany (1,433). Copa America winners Chile, Belgium, Colombia, France, European champions Portugal, Uruguay and Spain complete the top ten. At the Arab level, Egypt led the way at 35th, one place ahead of Tunisia. Saudi Arabia broke into the top 50 by climbing six places to 48th as Morocco kept their 57th place.
