Eid Charity Allocates QR 30 Million for Urgent Relief to People of Gaza
 
Sheikh Eid bin Mohammad Al Thani Charitable Association has announced the allocation of QR 30 Million for humanitarian aid to Gaza Strip so as to support thousands of families affected by the brutal Israeli aggression. In a press statement released yesterday, the Association said that it had provided humanitarian assistance to the people of the Gaza Strip worth QR 11.5 Million during past three weeks, including food relief, sheltering and medical items, noting that it has now allocated QR 30 million for urgent relief. 
 
Ali bin Abdullah Al Suwaidi, General Manager, Eid Charitable Association said these humanitarian assistances were part of Qatar's official and popular efforts to support people of the Gaza Strip and to strengthen their steadfastness in the face of death and destruction. He added that the Association has carried out relief, educational, medical and construction projects for the benefit of the Palestinian people estimated at QR 236 Million since 2007 and until now. He said that Qatar has always been the forerunner in supporting the Palestinian people, providing them with all necessary humanitarian needs. He called for permanent opening of the crossings to enable charitable associations and agencies to enter the Gaza Strip safely in order to provide what they could to the needy people.

RAF to Provide Humanitarian Aid to Children in Gaza
 
Sheikh Thani bin Abdullah Foundation for Humanitarian Services (RAF) is planning to provide milk and other children needs in the Gaza Strip, benefiting 3,000 families affected by Israeli aggression. RAF in cooperation with Dar Al-Quran and Sunnah in Gaza will carry out the initiative worth QR 565000 to deliver the humanitarian aid to the affected families and children in shelters or mosques, with focusing on the needy children. In a press statement released here yesterday, RAF Director-General and Chairman of its Board of Trustees Ayed bin Dbassan al Qahtani said that RAF with its local institutions and charitable societies in the Gaza Strip will continue to provide support and necessary needs for the families affected by the Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip. 
 
He urged Qatari benefactors to support RAF's relief projects for the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip. For his part, Abdullah Suleiman, head of Dar Al Quran and Sunnah in the Gaza Strip said that the provision of milk, and other children needs represents a great importance to the thousands of Gazan families affected by the recent Israeli aggression.

QFA to Donate Sheikh Jassim Cup Revenue to Gaza
 
Qatar Football Association Wednesday said it will donate revenue accruing from Sheikh Jassim Cup to victims of Israeli attacks on Gaza Strip. Emir Cup Champions Al Sadd and Qatar Stars League Champions Lekhwiya will play the match at Lekhwiya Stadium at 7.00 p.m. on August 13, QFA said in a media statement. 
 
QFA Acting COO Khalid Mubarak Al Kuwari said, "As part of our social responsibility, we will be co-operating with our partner, Reach Out To Asia (ROTA), where it will be in charge of all the necessary procedures that ensure the revenue of the match is sent to the victims in Gaza Strip." It would a great opportunity for the fans to attend the match to contribute to this humanitarian cause and support Palestinians people. We are all in solidarity with the Palestinian people and are eager to make a difference in their lives through this donation, he said. Earlier this year, QFA and ROTA signed a Memorandum of Understanding to jointly work on social, educational and sports initiatives to develop unprivileged communities in Qatar and in Asia.
