Qatar Exchange index lost 187.25 points (-1.59%) this week when the bourse closed Thursday afternoon at 11,584.83 points. Trading value during this week increased by 12.75% to reach QR 1,578,259,233.63 compared to QR 1,399,778,233.47. Trading volume increased by 34.26% to reach 53,374,759 shares, as against 39,753,945 shares, while the number of transactions fell by 7.94%, to reach 19,443 transactions as compared to 21,121 transactions. 

Market capitalization fell by 1.60% to reach QR 608,024,352,630.97 as compared to QR 617,919,897,461.95 at the end of previous week. Real Estate sector led traded this week with 24.81% of the total traded value. Banking and Financial Services sector accounted for 21.97%. Industries sector accounted for 19.24% and Transportation sector accounted 14.24%. Real Estate sector led traded volume this week with 35.97% of the total traded volume. Telecoms sector accounted for 21.95%. Transportation sector accounted for 16.82% and Banks and Financial Services sector accounted 11.35%.

From the 43 listed companies 14 ended this week higher, while 26 fell and three unchanged. Mazaya Qatar led traded value during this week accounted for 15.41% of the total traded value. Qatar Gas Transport accounted for 13.53% and Vodafone Qatar accounted for 11.04%.
