Qatar Exchange index lost 608.97 points (-5.32%) this week when the bourse closed Thursday afternoon at 10,830.33 points. Trading value during this week increased by 19.11% to reach QR 1,389,651,627.66 compared to QR 1,166,696,174.84. 

Trading volume increased by 11.26% to reach 32,352,847 shares, as against 29,078,713 shares, while the number of transactions rose by 30.44%, to reach 19,718 transactions as compared to 15,117 transactions.  Market capitalization fell by 4.96% to reach QR 570,360,646,043.33 as compared to QR 600,146,565,891.86 at the end of previous week. Banking and Financial Services sector led traded value this week with 35.44% of the total traded value. Industries sector accounted for 28.75%. Real Estate sector accounted for 12.10% and Telecoms sector accounted for 8.46%. 

Banking and Financial Services sector led traded volume this week with 23.41% of the total traded volume. Telecoms sector accounted for 21.42%. Real Estate sector accounted for 21.00% and Industries sector accounted for 17.33%. Banking and Financial Services sector led traded number of transactions during this week with 28.17% of the total number of transactions. Industries sector accounted for 25.85%. Telecoms sector accounted for 14.92% and Real Estate sector accounted for 13.25%. 

From the 43 listed companies 42 fell and one unchanged. QNB led trading value during this week accounted for 13.21% of the total traded value. Industries Qatar accounted for 11.64% and Masraf Al Rayan accounted for 9.12%.
