Qatar Exchange index gained 19.74 points (+0.16%) this week when the bourse closed Thursday afternoon at 12,305.52 points. Trading value during this week decreased by 27.29% to reach QR 2,494,349,400.31 compared to QR 3,430,342,750.02.

Trading volume decreased by 35.74% to reach 58,053,396 shares, as against 90,344,429 shares, while the number of transactions fell by 9.00%, to reach 35,422 transactions as compared to 38,926 transactions. Market capitalization rose by 0.10% to reach QR 677,437,582,129.69 as compared to QR 676,791,631,974.17 at the end of previous week. Real Estate sector led traded value this week with 28.44% of the total traded value. Banking and Financial Services sector accounted for 27.91%. Industries sector accounted for 27.06% and Telecoms sector accounted 6.03%.

Real Estate sector led traded volume this week with 42.43% of the total traded volume. Industrials sector accounted for 21.76%. Banking and Financial Services sector accounting for 16.97% and Telecoms sector accounted for 9.51%. Industries sector led traded number of transactions this week with 28.42% of the total number of transactions. Banking and Financial Services sector accounted for 25.49%. Real Estate sector accounted for 24.67% and Telecoms sector accounted for 10.26%.

From the 43 listed companies 16 ended this week higher, while 25 fell and two unchanged. Barwa Real Estate led trading value during this week accounted for 19.86% of the total trading value. Industries Qatar accounted for 10.19% and The Islamic Group accounted for 8.47%.
