The Qatar International Court and Dispute Resolution Centre (QICDRC) has announced that The Rt Hon the Lord Phillips of Worth Matravers will replace The Rt Hon the Lord Woolf of Barnes as President of the Qatar International Court and Dispute Resolution Centre (QICDRC).

Lord Phillips has a long and highly distinguished career. In 2005, he was appointed Lord Chief Justice of England and Wales and he currently serves as President of the Supreme Court of the UK. Lord Phillips will take the role of President of the QICDRC in September upon Lord Woolf’s retirement.

Lord Phillips said: “I am delighted to have been appointed President of the QICDRC by the Council of Ministers and I look forward to contributing towards the continuing development and success of the QICDRC both in Qatar and overseas when I assume my new position in September.”
