Qatar Leadership Centre is committed to achieving the 2030 national development strategy by seeking to advance and nurture Qatar's leadership talent pool, and qualify current and future leaders to help them achieve their full potential and support the future development plans of the State of Qatar. H.E. Qatar Leadership Centre participants are Qatari professionals drawn from diverse industries including government, oil and gas, healthcare, education, finance, tourism, real estate and communications technology. Through QLC, these men and women, many at senior management levels, strengthen their leadership and management skills, specifically in strategic thinking, negotiation techniques, policy analysis, financial management and team-building, through the customized leadership program offered by QLC.

“Given the challenges and opportunities facing Qatar, what we learned through QLC about effective policy decisions, business strategy and organizational development can have a great effect on the success of Qatar’s vision,” noted participant Dr. Mohamed Al Ansari, Group Director Portfolio Investment & Group Strategy, Barwa Real Estate Group. “His Highness The Amir cares deeply about investing in the future of Qatar, which motivates us to work hard to improve our contributions to our country,” remarked participant Aljazzi Hamad Fetais, Director of Student Activities, Qatar University. “Qatar Leadership Centre enables Qatari professionals from all sectors to collaborate in innovative ways to bring about the development of a knowledge-based society.”

Qatar Leadership Centre is building on the success of the first two programs with its current programs, launched in January 2014, designed to advance and nurture the talent of Qatari professionals.  The Current Leaders Program and the Executive Leaders Program are designed for participants ages 25 to 35 and 36 to 46, respectively. QLC’s new Government Leaders Program for participants ages 25 to 40 focuses on developing leadership, decision-making and policy management skills for public sector professionals.  All three programs now underway are scheduled to conclude in 2015, and the next cycle of QLC programs will begin.
