Qatar National Bank (QNB) Group announced the opening a new branch in the State of Barka in the Sultanate of Oman which is the fifth branch to be opened the bank in Amman to continue providing services to its customers in the Sultanate. A statement issued by the Group today said the opening of this branch aims to achieve the group's policy on enhancing its network, occupy powerful centers in the state and provide banking services in general for individuals in their provinces.

It also coincides with the great development the Sultanate of Oman is witnessing in various fields, the statement said. It added that the opening of this new branch in the Sultanate was preceded by the opening of four other branches, including the opening of the 4th branch in the state of Nizwa which is one of the vital areas of the Sultanate, in addition to the Group's branches in each of the city of Muscat, Sohar and Al-Qiram.

It is noteworthy that the QNB Group which was founded in 1964 as the first commercial bank in Qatar, provided through its foreign branches a complete range of banking products and services to individuals, companies and government bodies, in addition to services on fixed deposits and current accounts, and a wide range of banking services to companies, including trade finance, project funding and investment consulting.
