The State of Qatar participated in Argentina Business and Investment Forum 2016, which concludes Thursday, with a delegation chaired by HE Minister of Economy and Commerce Sheikh Ahmed bin Jassim bin Mohammed Al-Thani. The event, inaugurated by Argentina's President Mauricio Macri, is considered an important opportunity to identify investment opportunities in the South American country.

One of the main sectors that will attract investors' attention is energy, agriculture and tourism. In his opening remark, Macri laid down his vision to attract foreign investment to the country in the next four years. The four-day conference sees a host of decision makers and business personalities take part. Qatar and Argentina are tied with historical relations as well as strong trade ones as well. Trade balance between both countries reached QR661 million in 2015.
