Qatar is set to play friendlies against Tanzania and Lebanon early next month, the Qatar Football Association (QFA) announced on Monday. Qatar will play against Tanzania on September 5 and then another friendly game on September 9 against Lebanon.

The two games are part of coach Fahad Thani's preparation plans ahead of the next phase of the 2015 Asian Cup qualifying matches. The national squad will resume training under coach Fahad on September 1.  The training camp to be held at Aspire Academy will last 10 days. Qatar has played two 2015 Asian Cup qualifying matches so far, beating Malaysia in February before going to hosts Bahrain in March. The 2015 AFC Asian Cup qualification matches will determine the participating teams for the event to be held in Australia.
