Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) gained 172.56 points (+1.74%) this week when the bourse closed Thursday afternoon at 10,110.84 points. Trading value during this week increased by 13.02% to reach QR 1,300,618,369.19 compared to QR1,150,739,799.19.
 
Trading volume decreased by 12.89% to reach 44,796,020 shares, as against 51,423,110 shares, while the number of transactions fell by 6.51%, to reach 14,974 transactions as compared to 16,016 transactions. Trading value during this week decreased by 7.88% to reach QR 1,198,150,625.08 compared to QR 1,300,618,369.19. Market capitalization rose by 1.59% to reach QR 540,526,315,619.89 as compared to QR 532,051,223,533.52 at the end of previous week. The Banking and Financial Services sector led trading value this week with 27.16% of the total trading value, Industrials sector accounted for 17.56%. The Telecoms sector accounted for 13.96%, and Real Estate sector accounted for 13.41%.
 
The Telecoms sector led trading volume this week with 35.62% of the total trading volume, Banking and Financial Services sector accounted for 24.02%. The Real Estate sector accounted for 20.38%, and Industrials sector accounted for 7.32%. The Banks and Financial Services sector led trading number of transactions this week with 31.34% of the total number of transactions, followed by Industrials sector, which accounted for 20.79%. The Real Estate sector ranked third, accounting for 15.01%, and finally followed by Consumer Goods and Services sector, which accounted for 10.36%.
 
From the 44 listed companies 25 ended this week higher, while 16 fell and three companies unchanged. The Industries Qatar led trading value during this week with 12.46% of the total trading value, Vodafone Qatar accounted for 11.94%. The Qatar Navigation ranked third, accounting for 9.83%.
