Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) index gained 106.10 points (+0.98%) this week when the bourse closed Thursday afternoon at 10,925.40 points. Trading value during this week increased by 55.49% to reach QR 2,082,947,208.32 compared to QR 1,339,604,367.54. 

Trading volume increased by 56.03% to reach 56,569,141 shares, as against 36,254,293 shares, while the number of transactions rose by 53.10%, to reach 26,109 transactions as compared to 17,054 transactions. Market capitalization rose by 1.62% to reach QR 588,815,020,090.19 as compared to QR 579,413,604,615.18 at the end of previous week. Banking and Financial Services sector led traded value this week with 25.7% of the total traded value. Real Estate sector accounted for 19.12%. Consumer Goods and Services sector accounted for 16.21% and Industries sector accounted for 14.83%.

Real Estate sector led traded volume this week with 30.94% of the total traded volume. Banking and Financial Services sector accounted for 19.17%. Telecoms sector accounted for 14.42% and Industries sector accounted for 11.71%. Banking and Financial Services sector led traded number of transactions this week with 26.12% of the total number of transactions. Industries sector accounted for 19.69%. Real Estate sector accounted for 18.01% and Consumer Goods and Services sector accounted for 16.14%. From the 44 listed companies 29 ended this week higher, while 14 fell and one unchanged. Barwa Real Estate led traded value this week with 9.41% of the total traded value. Medicare Group accounted for 8.52% and QNB accounted for 6.56%.
