Qatar Charity in partnership with Pakistan Welfare Forum (PWF) has collected QR1.69m donation during the exclusive fundraising event held on May 31, 2018 by the Pakistani Community residing in Qatar. 

The donations will be utilised for the educational and welfare activities of destitute Pakistani community in Qatar, said a release. The event was presided over by Fareed Khalil Al Siddieqy, Head of Admin Support Division, Qatar Charity, besides officials of Embassy of Pakistan as well as notable Pakistani Community Members. A number of professionals, businessmen as well as philanthropists from Pakistan Community participated in the event. “Qatar Charity is also arranging various other activities for the communities every year including sports, health and culture”, Guest of Honour, Fareed Siddieqy added. He informed that each year QC organizes a special project during Ramadan called ‘Barahat Aljaleyat’ for each community on daily basis offering Iftar-cum-briefing on the importance of Ramadan.

Fareed Siddieqy hoped that it will be a beginning of new and long term relations between Qatar Charity and PWF aiming at jointly carrying out welfare projects including education and support for deserving families of the Pakistani Community in Qatar. The President of PWF, Ahmad Hussain outlined a comprehensive PWF Community Development Programme under which maximum Out of School Students would be identified who are deprived of education due to socio-economic reasons.
