Qatar Charity has received a second donation of QR1m from Qatar Fuel Company for its Gaza campaign, bringing the total donations to QR2m. The donation was made based on the recommendation of the Qatar Fuel Company Board of Directors in response to the growing humanitarian needs of the Palestinian people in different areas and in line with the company's sense of social responsibility.
Qatar Charity CEO Yousef bin Ahmed Al Kuwari thanked Qatar Fuel for its generous donation, which was made by Chairman Sheikh Saud bin Abdul Rahman Al Thani in line with the efforts of Qatar to support the Palestinian people. "Qatar Fuel Company has doubled its donation for the relief of Gaza, as it is clear that the people in Gaza urgently need more help with rehabilitation, reconstruction and alleviation of suffering," Al Thani sad. He stressed that the company will continue to support QC for the good of humanity, easing the pain of the needy, orphans and the sick.
Qatar Charity has implemented a number of relief projects during the recent Israeli offensive in the Gaza Strip, at a total cost of over QR7m. These interventions have included providing pharmaceutical and therapeutic aid, in addition to cash assistance to 3,500 municipal employees.
