Qatar Chamber of Commerce and Industry (QCCI) held here today a meeting with a delegation from the Republic of Portugal to discuss investment opportunities and aspects of trade exchange between the two parties.

The meeting was co- chaired by the QCCI Vice-President, Mohamed bin Twar Al Kuwari and Portuguese side by Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive Officer of Portuguese Trade and Investment Agency Miguel Frasquilho in presence of HE Ambassador of the Republic of Portugal to Qatar Fernando Manuel de Gouveia Araujo. The meeting discussed investment opportunities available in both countries , where Al Kuwari welcomed cooperation with the Republic of Portugal, especially in the field of infrastructure as Portugal has experience after hosting the UEFA European Football Championship in 2004. 

In turn, Frasquilho said that his country is ready to introduce Qatari business community on investment environment in Portugal, especially as Portugal has investments in many Arab countries, calling for visiting his country to know available investment opportunities . In the other meeting, British educational and commercial delegation comprises 40 representatives from universities, colleges and various educational sectors as well as centers of training and educational consulting and human resources visited the QCCI.

The two sides also discussed investment opportunities to them in private education sector in the two countries and prospects for providing training courses , programs and developing educational partnerships with universities and colleges in Britain and Doha.
