Qatar Green Building Council (QGBC) and the Pakistan Engineers Forum (PEF) in Qatar signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) today, intended to maximise utilisation of their collective resources and expertise. The agreement will help deliver relevant education, training and promotion to enhance sustainability efforts within the construction industry, to the benefit of industry stakeholders and the wider community. This goal will be achieved through joint research projects and outreach activities undertaken by both organisations.

The MoU signing was attended by Ahmad Al Jolo, founding member of QGBC, and Engineer Meshal Al Shamari, Director of QGBC, alongside other senior representatives from both organisations.

Commenting on the alliance, Al Jolo said, “We are delighted at the opportunity to team up with thePakistan Engineers Forum in Qatar, as this agreement will allow us to collectivelyraiseawareness on key sustainability issues regarding the built environment, and we will achieve this through various upcoming outreach activities.”

Mohammad Riyad, Vice President of the Pakistan Engineers Forum in Qatar, said, “We believe it is through partnerships with prestigious organisations such as QGBC that the Pakistan Engineers Forum is able to contribute towards the environmental and human development goals of the Qatar National Vision 2030, by raising industry and public awareness through premier training, education, research and development.”
