Qatar Indian Thowheed Centre (QITC) under the supervision of Qatar Islamic Cultural Centre (Fanar), organised an Islamic seminar in Tamil on Thursday night (8:30 to 3am) at the ‘Islamic Da’awa and Training Center at Madhinat Khalifa. More than 500 people including women and children attended the seminar.

Visiting Professor of Thowheed Islamic College, Salem, Tamilnadu, India Muhammad Dhaha was the main speaker at the function. He gave an eloquent lecture on the topic “Advice must for Life”. Earlier local scholars of QITC, Muhammad Ali and  Muhammad Thameem gave a lecture on the topics “Lost Opportunities” & “Come on for Repentance” respectively and Islamic scholar working in Saudi Markaz, Abdussamad Madani gave a lecture on the topic “Mindless Children&Heedless Parents”. The programme started with congregational Isha and Night Prayers, led by local scholar Layik. Prizes were distributed to the winners of Islamic competitions for the children in the end.

The highlight of the event was that, Richard hailing from Perambalur of Tamilnadu, India has come into the fold of Islam and changed his name to Abdur Rasheed. Islamic scholar working in Saudi Markaz Abduss Madani administered the oath of Islam. Dr Ahmad Ebrahim, President, QITC welcomed the gathering and Muhammad Yusuf, executive member chaired the seminar. Peer Muhammad, Treasurer, QITC proposed a vote of thanks.
