QNB Group, a leading financial institution in the Middle East, Africa, and South East Asia (MEASEA), organized various activities in collaboration with the Qatar Social and Cultural Center for the Blind to celebrate World White Cane Day at the Bank’s Mathaf Tower building.

The 15th of October of each year marks an international observance to celebrate the achievements of people who are blind or visually impaired. To commemorate this important day, QNB organized many activities for its staff with the participation of members of the Qatar Social and Cultural Center for the Blind. The event also included a showcase of the tools and devices used to aid and support the visually impaired. The event aimed to raise awareness about blindness, educate people about the basic skills to interact with those who have vision impairment, remove negative stereotypes about disability, and teach those who are visually impaired about the importance of using the white cane to navigate safely and independently.
