As part of its ongoing recruitment efforts to attract Qatari nationals studying abroad, QNB participated as a Bronze sponsor at the Student Career Fair in Washington DC, from 1st to 3rd November. The event was hosted by The Qatar Embassy in the Capital. The 3 day Exhibition aimed at attracting Qatari students to participate, and offering them employment opportunities at many of the country’s major institutions.

Human Capital Development is one of the most important focal points within the QNB Group. Aligned with the country’s 2030 vision, which outlines a fully sustainable and diverse economic vision for the country’s future, QNB’s Human Capital Department seeks to enable all candidates to both evolve their talents to the highest professional standard and expand their knowledge base. The hope being that these acquired skills will allow the individuals to secure and fulfill important decision making roles within the Bank.

Another important consideration in participating at Qatari Nationals Career Fairs is the desire to enhance the state’s policy and strategy of “Qatarisation”. QNB’s current ratio in excess of 50% is considered amongst the highest in the Banking Sector and the Group aims to increase this level in the coming years through targeted efforts.

Having accepted preliminary applications at the Career Fair in Washington, QNB’s Human Capital Department is now preparing to shortlist candidates for the second phase of the recruitment process which involves personal interviews, career aptitude tests and assessing general business skills acumen. If successful through this second phase of interviewing and assessment, potential candidates will then be offered jobs with QNB.

QNB also held a career day, on November 2nd, aimed at providing Qatari nationals with unique job opportunities, training and development programs and scholarships available at the country’s prestigious universities.
