Qatar Petroleum (QP), the company responsible for all phases of the oil and gas industry in Qatar, is once again demonstrating its commitment to corporate social responsibility with its participation as the exclusive Silver Sponsor of the 5th Reach Out To Asia (ROTA) Gala Dinner.

Building on the successful previous four editions of this event, the Gala Dinner in 2013, will carry the theme of “Plant a Book, Harvest the Future“ in relation to ROTA’s activities, is set to comprehensively display what the organization is all about and demonstrate the local and international community connections that ROTA fostered during the past few years.

Mr. Essa Al Mannai, ROTA Executive Director said “As an enthusiastic ROTA supporter, QP is one of Qatar’s most influential corporation. We are delighted that QP shares our belief that our vision of a better future through education”, he added.

In his comments, Mr. Abdulrahman Abdulla Al-Obaidly, Manager for Public Relations and Communications of QP, said: “Our strong support to ROTA and its programs in Qatar and throughout Asia is consistent with QP’s corporate values as a responsible corporate citizenship. We are delighted to be the Silver Sponsor of the 5th ROTA Gala Dinner and extend our support for achieving ROTA’s goals in the field of education.”

Stressing on the importance of the theme for the Gala Dinner 2013, Al Mannai pointed out that since the establishment of ROTA in 2005, the organization’s vision has always been focused on supporting primary and secondary education. “This comes from our belief that education is the key ingredient for humanitarian prosperity and human dignity which starts from knowledge,” he added.

As a member of Qatar Foundation, ROTA’s support for less privileged communities in Asia is aimed at investing in the human mind in order to build a younger generation of well-educated individuals who will eventually contribute in the development of their communities. ROTA believes that education is a long process that needs proper nurturing and it’s the most essential approach to guarantee a bright future for all communities.


“As a primary fundraiser for ROTA, an auction will be the core component of the Gala Dinner 2013, complemented by a mix of entertainment and inspiring speeches.The theme“Plant a Book, Harvest the Future” will be highlighted throughout the event. In addition, the event will provide an opportunity for ROTA to share the achievements that it has accomplished, thanks to the funds raised during previous gala dinners, Al Mannai said.

The 5th ROTA Gala Dinner 2013 will take place at Ali Bin Abdulla Palace in Doha.
