Investors wealth surged to QR546.28bn at the end of the trading week, compared to QR519.46bn previous week, showing a rise of 5.16 percent. Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) gained 438.57 points, or 4.64 percent, in the week after the bourse closed at 9,886.45 points. On the daily basis, index gained 50.90 points, or 0.52 percent.

Trading value during this week increased by 54.58 percent to reach QR1.06bn compared to QR687.8m. Trading volume increased by 38.43 percent to reach 31.5 million shares, as against 22.77 million shares, while the number of transactions rose by 25.29 percent, to reach 18,406 transactions as compared to 14,691 transactions. Banking and Financial Services sector led traded value in the week with 43.59 percent of the total traded value. Industries sector accounted for 18.96 percent. Real Estate sector accounted for 11.79 percent and Transportation sector accounted for 8.52 percent.

Real Estate sector led traded volume in the week with 29.98 percent of the total traded volume. Banking and Financial Services sector accounted for 24.77 percent. Transportation sector accounted for 14.88 percent and Industries sector accounted 12.76 percent. Banking and Financial Services sector led traded number of transactions with 34.59 percent of the total number of transactions. Industries sector accounted for 20.82 percent. Real Estate sector accounted for 17.91 percent and Transportation sector accounted for 9.49 percent.
