Qtel is demonstrating a wide range of exciting new business concepts at QITCOM 2011, as the company looks to fuel new innovations for companies and the community in Qatar. At the Qtel stand, visitors will find the most comprehensive range of business services and solutions, as Qtel continues to build on its position as the preferred partner for companies across the country.

Experts from Qtel will be on-hand to discuss the potential business benefits of its pioneering next generation fibre network for small, medium and enterprise-sized businesses. Qtel recently became the first company in Qatar – and one of the first communications providers in the region – to reach Internet trial speeds of up to 100 Mbps (Megabits per second) for consumers.

Qtel is also promoting its incredible Business Group service, which enables companies to manage all employee mobile accounts through a single account and provides a discounted tariff for the whole group. Companies get 1,000 free minutes for each employee in the group, offering a massive saving on company communication bills.

There is also a special section on IP telephony, Qtel’s hosted service which offers a range of advanced features, including voice mail, conference calls, address books, caller ID, and call transfers.

Qtel is also previewing the pilot stage of a “Virtual Office” service, which will provide a comprehensive corporate environment that can be delivered to a home computer or laptop. By integrating laptops, voice and data connectivity and a cutting-edge web portal, employees will be able to connect directly into the workplace wherever they are.

Qtel’s Virtual Office solution will provide a wide range of benefits for employers and employees, including greater security and back-up, as the service is able to electronically store all phone calls and electronic communication. It will also allow companies to share software and applications across its network and helps customise the bandwidth requirements for each individual employee.

Organised by IFP Qatar in partnership with ictQATAR, QITCOM will be a gateway for international and regional ICT companies to learn more about Qatar’s growing importance as a hub for technology and innovation.
