RasGas Company Limited (RasGas), is gearing up for a day of celebration with its employees for the upcoming National Day. With two mega-projects underway, a robust Qatarization scheme and an active Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programme contributing to the local community the Company recognises that it is all thanks to its dedicated employees and sound management.

RasGas was amongst the first to show its support for QND celebrations when it draped its Doha Headquarters building with patriotic poetry specially developed for this event

“Qatar National Day is a day when all people in Qatar can celebrate Qatar’s past achievements, current success and refresh promises for a bright and sustainable future. At RasGas we are looking forward to celebrating this spirit with all of our employees,” said RasGas Managing Director, Hamad Rashid Al Mohannadi.

Elaborating on the Company’s alignment with the QNV 2030 Vision, he said: “The State of Qatar has grown at a historic pace in the last two decades and natural gas has rapidly become the clean energy of choice that powers and transforms global economies. At RasGas, we aim to actively and positively contribute towards and enable the sustainable development of Qatar and its people in alignment with the Qatar National Vision (QNV) 2030. One of our major current projects is the Barzan Gas Project, which will fuel major development in Qatar and further contribute to all four pillars of the QNV 2030. Another significant on-going project is the Ras Laffan Helium 2 which once on stream, will make Qatar the world’s second largest helium producer.”

These mega-projects – along with others – are supported by the Company’s dedicated employees. As a joint-venture company owned by Qatar Petroleum and ExxonMobil RasGas Inc., RasGas offers a number of local and international scholarships and training programmes for high school graduates as well as a myriad of development and training programmes for its employees.  Both educational and development programmes have been recognised by the Ministry of Energy and Industry’s Qatarization Crystal Awards in 2009 and 2011.
