70 youth to attend 4-day learning journey

Reach Out to Asia (ROTA) will host its fourth ROTA Youth Service Clubs Leadership Training Camp starting Wednesday 19th to Saturday 22nd January aiming to transform the lives of 70 youth in Qatar.

The experiential 4-day event brings together young people aged between 14 and 24 from 15 secondary schools and three universities for a learning journey that aims to empower youth with relevant skills, knowledge and values to set up and run ROTA Youth Service Clubs, which in turn will help them to become active contributors in their community and the world at large.

Targeted at students who have not previously engaged in the ROTA Youth Service Clubs, training is delivered in a camp-like learning environment, where students are able to work and learn in an exclusive unfamiliar area away from everyday distractions and comforts.

Sessions include workshops, practical and interactive sessions on leadership, teamwork, project management, advocacy and service learning. The 4-day course has been designed to prepare new and existing members of the ROTA Youth Service Club program with the knowledge, skills and attitudes they need to run their own club activities effectively.
