The Ministry of Economy and Commerce (MEC) has closed down a Honda car showroom for a month for selling vehicles involved in accidents as brand new ones after repairs, said Qatar Tribune.

The MEC has also seized a number of such vehicles from the car dealer. The fraud was detected during a surprise check conducted by MEC inspectors at the main showroom. Inspectors have found that the dealer was selling used cars involved in accidents as new ones to customers without informing them that the vehicles had undergone repairs or painting.
