Amelia Olson, Director of Occupational Health at Sidra Medical and Research Center said, “Every initiative, whether big or small, can go a long way to help spread awareness about the importance of early breast cancer detection- a disease that takes 520,000 lives every year worldwide. Many of us have a family member, friend or colleague affected by breast cancer and this show of pink is our way of providing emotional support and raising awareness.”
In addition to marking Breast Cancer Awareness Month each October, Sidra’s Research Department is involved in the research of immunotherapy in breast cancer to investigate causes and responses to treatment. More details can be found on
