Silatech, an international social development organization working to create jobs and decent livelihood opportunities for youth, took part in the 8th the Global Donors Forum in London. Under the theme "Philanthropy's Response to Inequality and Societal Tensions", the three-day event included high-level representatives of charities, nongovernmental organizations, corporations, academics and more.

Mr. Faisal Al Emadi, Silatech’s Executive Director of Programs, presented the organization’s successful innovative programs in the field of youth employment and alignment with the Sustainable Development Goals. Al Emadi discussed Silatech’s technological solutions that help youth in need and showcased the Narwi crowdfunding platform, a unique platform developed by Silatech that connects youth with financing opportunities and supports them in launching income generating activities.

The Narwi platform allows donors to finance young entrepreneurs throughout the MENA region and beyond and links these individuals with a broader pool of charitable and social giving from within the Islamic world. The platform will officially launch in 2019 and the organization expects that its activities can expand beyond the MENA region in the future. Silatech works with a network of partners including government entities, NGOs, international, multilateral and bilateral organizations to mobilize funding and implement employment programs. Silatech has secured around million jobs for youth in need in 17 countries to date.

Silatech was formally launched in 2008, by H.H. Sheikha Moza Bint Nasser at the Alliance of Civilizations Global Forum in Madrid, as an international development organization that links Arab youth with employment and decent livelihood opportunities.
