The sixth annual edition of the ‘Back to School’ campaign for the academic year 2019-2020 kicked off. It is organised by the Ministry of Education and Higher Education in cooperation with a number of partners and supporters under the slogan ‘With Education We Build Qatar’.

The campaign is being held at the Qatar Mall from August 16 to 24 and at KidZania Doha from August 18 to 24. Hassan Abdullah Al Mohammadi, Director of Public Relations and Communication at the Ministry of Education and Higher Education, said that the aim of the campaign is to enhance communication with the public, prepare school students to receive the new school year more effectively, and provide support to schools and educate parents and all those involved in the educational process. The campaign includes fun, educational, recreational, cultural and health activities along safety and traffic tips.

Speaking to Qatar News Agency, Al Mohammadi termed the campaign as one of the successful initiatives of the Ministry of Education and Higher Education as it seeks to enhance the abilities and capabilities of students and develop and encourage the spirit of competition and creativity through a number of guidance and useful educational advice, to serve the educational system in the State of Qatar in all its aspects and dimensions at the beginning of a new academic year. He noted that the cooperation of partners with the Ministry is the basis of the success of the campaign, where each party will provide a set of valuable services to consolidate the educational and educational values among students and their families and parents and all members of the community and schools as well.

The campaign aims to prepare students for the new academic year and provide them with the necessary advice and guidance in this regard and to emphasise the importance of moral and psychological readiness to start the academic year and sharpen the motivation for regular school attendance since the first day, in addition to the participation of parents and all the partners of the educational process in its activities to benefit from the support services provided to students and schools.
