HEC Paris, one of the world’s leading providers of executive education, recently held an Entrepreneurship Day for all participants of the HEC Paris Executive MBA (EMBA) Class of 2018, providing them with invaluable insight and direction from leading entrepreneurial and start-up specialists.

The Entrepreneurship Day, linked to the Entrepreneurial Mindset module of the renowned EMBA, welcomed leading figures from Qatar Business Incubation Center (QBIC), Qatar Development Bank (QDB), the Digital Incubation Center of the Ministry of Transport and Communications (MOTC) and Qatar Science & technology Park (QSTP). The industry experts shared their knowledge and expertise with the participants and advised on the initiatives they have in place to support local entrepreneurs.

Dr. Nils Plambeck, Dean and CEO of HEC Paris in Qatar, who spearheaded the event, welcomed the participants and distinguished guests. “Entrepreneurship has deep roots in the Qatari business culture and HEC Paris is proud to contribute, in partnership with Qatar Foundation, by training and developing the business leaders of tomorrow, and by helping connect the different stakeholders of the entrepreneurship ecosystem in Qatar,” said Dr. Plambeck. “This event was invaluable for our participants. The wealth of information and expertise they had access to will enhance their ability to identify and take advantage of business opportunities. I would like to thank the representatives of QBIC, QDB, QSTP, and the Digital Incubation Center of MOTC for sparing their valuable time to engage in this important event. The Entrepreneurship Day, held at HEC Paris Doha campus in Tornado Tower, included a session, led by QBIC, on how to adopt a lean start-up approach as well as customer discovery, validation and creation. Participants were also given financing tips and crucial information on how to start a venture with QBIC. The Digital Incubation Center at MOTC was introduced to them while representatives from QSTP showcased the range of progressive innovation initiatives it offers for Research & Development initiatives. Finally, Mr. Ibrahim Hassan, QDB’s Executive Director of Investments and Mrs. Kholoud Ali Al-Hajri, Manager International Cooperation & Partnership at QDB interacted with the participants.

The two-day intensive Entrepreneurial Mindset module of the renowned HEC Paris EMBA gives participants an introduction into entrepreneurship and innovation and provides the necessary tools for those seeking to become entrepreneurs and innovators in line with the goals of Qatar National Vision 2030 for a diversified economy.
