Stenden University Qatar and Qatar Banking Studies and Business Administration Independent Secondary School for Boys signed a memorandum of understanding paving the way for mutually beneficial cooperation between the two organizations.

The agreement was signed by Mr. Ahmed Al-Mahmoud, Principal of Qatar Banking Studies and Business Administration Independent Secondary School for Boys and Dr. Ivan Ninov, Executive Dean of Stenden University Qatar in a press conference held on Wednesday, May 25th 2016 at the school. The signing of the MOU was preceded by a meeting between Mr. Ahmed Al-Mahmoud and Dr. Ivan Ninov to discuss potential collaboration in implementation of the MOU.

In this occasion, Mr. Ahmed Al-Mahmoud said, “our students are Qatar future leaders and it is our responsibility to guide them to continue their education. He added, “I am glad today to sign the MOU and hope that it yields about greater benefits to all students.” On his part, Dr. Ivan Ninov said, “We feel privileged and excited about entering into this partnership, which is inspired by our common objectives of educating the future generation of Qatar and contributing to the development of the society and the economy of the country. This MOU is also an evidence of Stenden’s commitment to closely work and collaborate with schools and educational institutions in Qatar.”

According to this memorandum of understanding, QBS students will benefit from workshops and lectures organized by the university faculty members. In addition, they will explore the university life by “a student for a day programme”. This programme provides potential students the opportunity to experience Stenden University Qatar for a day and spend a typical SUQ student day. The students will be able to interact directly with staff members and current students; they can also attend different classes and Problem Based Learning sessions. Furthermore, the students will have the priority to join the university if they meet the university’s admissions requirements.

Stenden University Qatar was established in the year 2000 by Al Faisal Holding. Stenden University Qatar offers three four-year Bachelor in Business Administration with majors in International Business and Management Studies, International Tourism Management and International Hospitality Management. All programs are accredited by Qatar’s Ministry of Education and Higher Education. The main campus of the university is in the Netherlands; Leeuwarden. Next to that, Stenden University has a campus in Bali (Indonesia), Rangist (Thailand) and Port Alfred (South Africa).

Qatar Banking Studies and Business Administration Independent Secondary School for Boys is featured by offering outstanding vocational education which built on practical training whether at school simulation rooms or at banks. The school offers also international vocational courses which prepares students to receive an Australian qualification in addition to the Qatari certificate of secondary schools. These courses and qualifications help students to access to higher education.
