More than 100 students at Texas A&M University at Qatar have been recognized for academic distinction in the fall 2018 and spring 2019 semesters. The 103 honorees were either named to the Dean’s Honor Roll or named Distinguished Students.

To earn the “Distinguished Student” designation, students must complete a semester schedule of at least 15 graded hours with no grade lower than a C and a term GPA of 3.5. To earn the “Dean’s Honor Roll” distinction, the same requirements apply with the term GPA being 3.75 or higher. Dr. César Octavio Malavé, dean of Texas A&M at Qatar, said, “Engineering is a challenging course of study and we have so many outstanding students who have earned academic distinction for the past two semesters. We are so proud of our students and all that they have accomplished and we look forward to celebrating many more achievements with them as they progress through their careers as engineering leaders in Qatar.”
