Ooredoo has announced today that its award-winning Mobile Money service will give QR 10 cashback on all international transfers to a host of African countries including Ghana, Uganda, Nigeria, Cameroon and Kenya. As well as the cashback, Ooredoo has announced the QR 1 MoneyGram Money Transfer Fee promotion will be continued for rest of the African, Arab, South Asian countries and the Philippines until 30 September 2015.

With the offer all customers transferring money to Ghana, Uganda, Nigeria, Cameroon and Kenya will receive QR 10 instantly into their mobile wallet after completion of the successful transfer. The promotion will run from 1 September 2015, for three months and the cashback amount will be credited instantly into the customer’s mobile wallet. The offer has been designed to further reward loyal Ooredoo Mobile Money (OMM) customers by reimbursing transfer fees for three months in a row, making sending money home more affordable and easier than ever.

Customers can register for Mobile Money for free with a valid Qatar ID at any Ooredoo Shop, by dialling *140#, or by simply downloading the free “Ooredoo Money” App on their mobile and following the simple on-screen instructions. Once registered, customers can take advantage of the cashback offer by sending money to the above countries for cash collection at any local MoneyGram agents or direct to M-PESA wallet transfer in Kenya securely and reliably 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Mobile Money is available for use on any model of mobile phone and can be used to Top-Up Hala accounts (with a 10% extra recharge), pay Ooredoo bills, send money locally to another mobile or QNB account, or transfer money overseas. Users can deposit money into their mobile wallet using any of over 200 Ooredoo Self-Service Machines available throughout Qatar. Deposits can also be made through Ooredoo Shops or direct transfer from any QNB Bank account through QNB Mobile Payment service.
