The Chargé d’Affaires of the United States Embassy in Qatar, William Grant, along with the members of the US Embassy attended the closing of ‘Feminism is a Voice’ exhibition at W Doha Hotel and Residences.

The gallery which ran for one month at ART 29 was curated by Qatari artist Fahad Al Obaidly and featured 12 talented female local and international artists. The artists include Fatima Mohammed, Sumaia Al Kilani, Abeer Al Kuwari, Sheikha Al Hardan, Maryam Al Homaid, Maysaa Almumin, Shua’a Ali Al Muftah, Hadeer Omar, Sara Al-Buainain, Shouq Al-Mana, Aisha Al Malki and Shaima Altamimi.

More than 40 art pieces ranging from photographs, canvas paintings and calligraphy were part of the collection and offered a multi-voiced interpretation of feminism through contemporary art. The closing was also attended by the spouse of Chargé d’Affaires, Mary Grant; Cultural Affairs Attaché, Kristina Rosales Kostrukova; General Manager of W Doha Hotel, Wassim Daaje; and other guests.
