Doha Municipality has launched its 'Ishtahm Difa' (Their Winter is Warm) campaign for the second year in a row. The municipality is distributing winter items such as blankets and clothing to labourers working with the Ministry of Municipality and Environment (MME) as part of the campaign.

Meanwhile, Doha Municipality detected a number of violations of the Regulation of Human Foods during its inspection campaigns recently. Legal action was initiated against a cafeteria in Umm Ghuwailina and another in Bin Omran area for preparing food in unhygienic conditions and using expired cheese and meat respectively. Besides, a restaurant in Doha was booked for preparing food in unhygienic conditions while another for having a foodstuff warehouse inside workers' accommodation in Al Sadd locality. Action was also taken against a food outlet in Al Mansoura area for having expired and substandard food items.

The owner of a van was also booked for carrying fresh fish in unhygienic conditions. The van belongs to a fishery in Madinat Khalifa North. Furthermore, 58 fish boxes and 50 kilograms of imported fish were destroyed in the Central Market for being unsafe for human consumption.
